Bruce A. Lampert
Aviation Litigation Attorney
Bruce Lampert is an experienced pilot and aviation litigation attorney. Mr. Lampert attended the University of Colorado, and in 1970 he received a bachelor's degree with honors. While at the university, he was active in the Kappa Sigma fraternity, Naval ROTC and intramural athletics.
In May 1970, Mr. Lampert was commissioned an ensign in the United States Navy and received orders to naval flight school in Pensacola, Florida. Mr. Lampert was assigned as an intelligence officer with VF-111, a Navy F-4 fighter squadron, for two cruises to Southeast Asia abroad the U.S.S. Coral Sea (CVA-43).
After leaving active duty with the Navy, Mr. Lampert enrolled at the University of Denver College of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 1979. While at law school, Mr. Lampert received the American Jurisprudence Prize in Contracts and the American Law Book Prize for most significant contribution toward overall legal scholarship. He also served as a writer for the Denver Law Journal.
He has distinguished experience in air disaster litigation as an aviation safety lawyer, having represented plane crash victims and their families on Continental Flight 1713 at Denver; the Northwest Flight 255 disaster at Detroit; the in-flight structural failure of United Flight 811 over the South Pacific; the United Flight 585 disaster at Colorado Springs; TWA Flight 800 near Long Island; the Korean Air disaster near Guam; and American Eagle Flight 3379 in N. Carolina, among others.
In addition to membership in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, Mr. Lampert has served in a leadership role on the governing board of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association. He is an active pilot with multi-engine and instrument ratings and flies several hundred hours a year in the Firm's aircraft. Dedicated to aviation safety, he is a frequent lecturer at educational institutions, has authored many articles on aviation law and is a speaker at seminars on trial tactics, mass disaster litigation and complex product liability cases. Mr. Lampert is licensed to practice law in Colorado and Michigan.
